Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzales-Collins works as an American-Mexican sportscaster. She currently works for ESPN as a news anchor for SportsCenter and occasionally host SportsNation. She started working at ESPN in 2016. She is the child of the journalist on television Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins is bilingual and has been so since when she was nine years old. This skill allowed her to land her first work at Univision, Miami. She worked as a producer for national programs like Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. In the following years she was hired by it was the CBS subsidiary in St. Petersburg employed her as a reporter for sports. The journalist was employed for KNVO TV 48 Univision in Rio Grande Valley Texas. She covered stories about immigration and drug trafficking in both Texas and Mexico. In addition, she covered anchors of sports and weather. Deportes 23 in Dallas, the Univision affiliate station for Dallas. She was also given more work to do. She worked in the same capacity for Primer Impacto on UniMas Network as well as Contacto Deportivo for its magazine show. Antonietta's parents were originally origins from Veracruz Mexico. At some point they moved towards Mexico City where she was born on the 22nd of November in 1985. She is younger than her sister. The family moved to Miami in 1992, after having left Mexico. Her parents divorced soon after and in 1995 her mother got married to one of the naval architects named Fabio Fajardo who passed away from kidney cancer in 2006. It was on a time of summer when she was with her sibling in Canton Ohio where the older Collins girl had gotten the job. Antonietta she was a high school senior having a clear idea of where she wanted her life to be like, travelled to Mount Union University in order to find out whether it was a good fit for her. The campus was a dream for her. The university also provided her with the degree she wanted. After graduating from school, she was enrolled at the University with a major in media studies. Mark Bergmann was her professor as well as the director of WRMU in which she is a part of. They developed a close relationship. Professor Bergmann was a great influence on her with his enthusiasm in journalism. Also, he deeply affected her.
